Model 73 Cast Iron Simplex Strainers     VIEW PRICING

Eaton model 73 cast iron simplex strainerModel 73 simplex strainers are for large pipelines (10" through 18"), often used as pump suction strainers at utilities and factories due to their straight flow design which minimizes pressure drop across the strainer.

If you do not require customizations and an ASME code stamp characteristic of our custom fabricated model 90 simplex strainers, the model 73 is an excellent choice. Their unique side-entry basket design ensures very low clean differential pressures.  Another benefit of the side entry basket design is it's lighter and physically smaller design, which ergonomically ideal and much easier to remove than the basket designed used for model 90's and smaller pipelines.

The compact size of the model 73 simplex strainer is directly related to the special pleated basket configuration.  It's the pleated design which increases the available surface area which keeps the overall basket size and by extension the strainer body, minimized.
