Simplex Strainers in PVC, CPVC and Polypropylene

Simplex Strainers sizes 1/2" to 4", constructed of PVC and with threaded, socket or flanged connections.

Protect System Components
When pipeline system components require protection from dirt and debris, and the line can be shut down for basket cleaning, a PS All Plastic Simplex Strainer is the ideal choice. Unwanted particles are removed as the process media passes through a perforated strainer basket contained inside the strainer body. The basket entraps the unwanted material while allowing the process media to flow freely.

PVCCPVC
1/2" to 8" PVC (FMP O-Rings)

1/2" to 8" PVC (EPDM O-Rings)

1/2"  to  8" CPVC (FPM O-Rings)

1/2"  to  8" CPVC (EPDM O-Rings)

Easy Basket Cleaning
Changing the basket is quick and easy. Just spin off the hand removable cover, no tools are needed, and lift out the dirty basket for cleaning or replacement.

Low Pressure Drop Design
All sizes of PS Plastic Simplex Strainers feature a strainer basket with a large ratio of open area to the equivalent across sectional pipe area. This provides maximum straining capacity with minimum pressure drop.

Wide Range of Baskets
Plastic baskets in perforation sizes from 1/32" to 3/16" are available. Baskets made from type 316 stainless steel are available in perforation sizes from 1/2" down to a super fine 325 mesh.

All-Plastic Construction
PS Plastic Simplex Strainers will never rust or corrode and they don’t require painting or coating to survive corrosive environmental conditions.

We've taken a unique approach to this website.  The basic ordering information is listed in chart form.  Each simplex strainer has its' own customizable datasheet, providing you with important specification information such as pressure drop and inlet velocity.

The suggested maximum flow range is calculated based upon a maximum fluid velocity of 8 FPS, which takes into account potential water hammer.  You can input your intended flow rate and automatically your fluid velocity and clean pressure drop is calculated for a range of basket retentions.

All you need to do to generate your printer-friendly custom datasheet is follow the link for the simplex strainer you are interested in (opens in a new window), replace the default flow rate with your design value, and click the recalculate button at the bottom of the page.
