Differential Pressure Gauges and Indicators provide a visual indication of the pressure differential between two sampling points. For instance, when installed with a strainer or filter, the inlet side and outlet side of the strainer/filter connect to the gauge. The gauge indicates the difference in pressure. Properly sized Strainers and Filters should have a differential pressure of < 2 PSI when clean. Most differential pressure gauges have the option of including a switch so that a signal can be sent to activate an alarm, light, or other indicator that the differential pressure has reached the set point. |
